Nummy ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Nummy mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Your email address and display name, used to create and manage your Nummy account.
• Meal preferences: Dietary restrictions, allergies, health goals, family size, and budget preferences you provide during onboarding or in settings.
• Meal plan data: Meal plans you generate, recipes you save, and feedback you provide on recipes.
• Google Calendar data: If you choose to connect Google Calendar, we access your calendar solely to add meal plan events on your behalf. We do not read, store, or share any existing calendar events.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate personalized meal plans using AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude).
• To search for recipes that match your preferences (powered by Spoonacular).
• To sync meal plan events to your Google Calendar when you authorize this feature.
• To improve your experience by remembering your preferences across sessions.
• To authenticate your account securely (powered by Supabase).

3. Google Calendar Integration

Nummy requests access to your Google Calendar only when you explicitly enable the Calendar Sync feature. We use this access exclusively to create meal plan events in your calendar. We do not read, modify, delete, or share any of your existing calendar data. You can revoke calendar access at any time from your device's Google account settings or from within the Nummy app.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following trusted service providers who help us operate the app:

• Anthropic — AI meal plan generation (your meal requests are sent to generate responses; no personal profile data is retained by Anthropic)
• Spoonacular — Recipe search (search queries only; no personal data is shared)
• Supabase — Account authentication and data storage
• Google — Calendar integration (only when you authorize it)

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and preference data as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us, which will remove your personal data from our systems.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication to protect your data.

7. Children's Privacy

Nummy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above.
